Most yard trouble in Los Angeles traces back to the same few causes: hard, depleted soil, sprinklers that don’t cover evenly and quick fixes that never addressed either one.
Usually: compacted clay soil. Roots can’t go deeper than an inch or two. What we do: break it up 6–8″ deep and work in real compost so roots have somewhere to grow.
Usually: uneven sprinkler coverage, a leaking valve or the wrong heads on a zone. What we do: repair or redesign the zones so water goes where the plants are.

We’re the crew that builds and installs. If you already have a plan — your own or from a designer or landscape architect — we’ll bring it to life. If you just know what you want, we’ll talk it through and give you a practical, itemized bid.

Preparation. We break the soil 6–8 inches deep, mix in 3 inches of organic compost and fix the sprinklers before any sod goes down. Most failed lawns we replace were laid on ground that was never prepared.
If the amount of old lawn material fits into your green waste trash can, there is no additional charge. However, if there is more material requiring disposal
If there is more material than can fit into your green waste trash can, than there is probably enough material to constitute a time and labor expense. The hourly rate will apply. Where as another person might have very little or nothing at all to dispose of and there won’t be the need to charge any additional
Disposal is charged based on weight. For less than one ton, the cost is $170 (including dump fees and hauling). For each additional ton, it’s an extra $170. For example, disposing of 1 to 2 tons costs $340.
Rototilling is charged at $0.9 per square foot. For your 1000 sq ft area, the cost would be approximately $900. There is a minimum charge of $180.
